Introduction: Contemporary medical practice prioritizes the disease at the expense of the complexity of the health-disease process. In newborn care, this is no different, however, the subjects' vulnerability demands a comprehensive, individualized and relational care practice. Objective: to know how neonatologists perceive / characterize the doctor-patient relationship in the context of newborn health.
