Occupational accidents, as well as the different strategies and tools to prevent it, are a topic of global interest, where new technologies such as virtual reality and haptic devices offer opportunities in the generation of training spaces that contribute to their prevention. This paper describes the design process of a virtual reality environment for occupational risk management training using haptic devices. Performance tests of the environment and its validation by operational technical personnel from the electricity sector allowed us to conclude that this type of development contributes to training in risk management in safe spaces.
