This study examines the impact of persuasive communication within the university context, a field that has received limited attention regarding its influence. Based on a survey conducted with 122 undergraduate and postgraduate students between 2019 and 2023, the research explores variables related to the effectiveness of the instructor’s message. The findings reveal a direct relationship between message effectiveness and students’ perception of the teacher. The study concludes that persuasive strategies—particularly ethos and pathos—can effectively influence student attitudes, suggesting new possibilities for enhancing communication in educational settings
