Abstract

The work performed by the Archives in Mexico is valuable for preserve the documentation generated in the Institutions. Such is the case of the Historical Archive of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (AHUNAM). This Archive, in the performance of its functions, it also generates specialized knowledge. It is necessary to retain that Knowledge for future reference, dissemination and use. Therefore, in this paper a proposal for implementing knowledge management (KM) in the Archives of the UNAM, specifically Section of Conservation and Restoration (SCR) will be discussed. The proposal is based on the methodology by Gustavo Novelo (2010). The proposal shows the relevance to systematize, preserve and disseminate the knowledge generated within the AHUNAM to generate new knowledge within the institution.
