Sesgos de género y percepción del sexismo en el entorno de videojuegos MMO

Resumen

Este estudio analiza las prácticas de juego, el uso de estrategias de anonimato y la percepción de sexismo en videojuegos multijugador online. A partir de una encuesta aplicada a N= 925 de entre 16 y 29 años, se identifican diferencias significativas según el sexo/género. Los resultados muestran una mayor tendencia entre mujeres y personas de otros géneros a proteger su identidad y a identificar estereotipos y dinámicas discriminatorias, lo que subraya la necesidad de aplicar un enfoque de género en el estudio de los MMOs
