Abstract

The theory of Southern Epistemologies, proposed by the Portuguese sociologist Boaventura de Sousa Santos, is the explanatory conceptual framework of the epistemological struggles that educational managers carry out in Mexico to obtain official validity of new higher-level educational programs. Through intercultural translation, the meeting of conceptual intersections that communicate the proposals of the epistemological South with the North (colonial, patriarchal and capitalist) is possible; as well as the complementation of knowledge for a true cultural diversity.
