This article explores the contributions of Hannah Arendt’s political thought in the resignification of the political in light of the experiences of exclusion and uprooting of the migrant person in the current world. The findings of the hermeneutical-phenomenological research, from the concepts of plurality and common world, are discussed: 1) Arendt’s experience as a stateless migrant and its influence on her political thought; 2) migration and uprooting as symptoms of the crisis of postmodernity; and 3) the construction of the common world from human plurality as paradigm to guarantee human rights of migrants.
