Abstract

The National Museum of Anthropology of Madrid (MNA) has been working on the rethinking of its identity to ascribe to the open-minded vision of the Critical Museology. Faced with this crossroads, a preliminary public study was carried out to determine the challenges presented by the current permanent exhibition, both at the museographic level and in terms of its exhibition contents, in order to find solutions. This also allowed to delve deeper into the museum's identity and its impact on the public, together with the need to create new museum experiences and the importance of generating new dialogues with different audiences and groups, including those that belong to the communities of origin.
