Currently, museums are undergoing a process of structural transformation that challenges their modes of communication and demands a reconfiguration of their strategic approaches. This article explores the concept of the expanded museum, examining the external agents that directly influence the institution and compel it to reinterpret its working and communication practices. Accordingly, the text identifies these key developments and analyzes how they are activated in service of the museum, with the primary objective of fostering effective and efficient information exchange with society.
