This article analyzes the use of YouTube as a tool of social transformation for contemporary art museums. Through an object of study focused on the ten most visited museums in 2023, it analyzes the resources that the screen offers as a digital archive to build the history of art in the 21st century, an invaluable source of research for art historians, curators and students, enriched by the contributions of living artists. Finally, the article proposes a series of suggestions for the management and permanent conservation of these digital archives in the future.
