This paper analyses the podcast as one of the digital tools used in university teaching that promotes autonomous learning and encourages active listening to content. It also experiments with the use of artificial intelligence and how it is integrated into the different phases of podcast production. Finally, a study has been carried out on the development of podcasts generated using AI tools, integrated as teaching content in the Audiovisual Technology course of the Audiovisual Communication degree at the European University of Madrid.
